Asche Farms

In 2001, we moved to this farm and began raising livestock. We started with 3 bison, and have been expanding the herd size ever since. Today we now have a herd of 20 Bison. Several years later we began raising hogs as 4-H projects for the county fair. Each year we purchase a handful of feeder hogs to feed out. Our most recent expansion to our operation is our cow-calf herd. This plan also started as a 4-H project with two beef heifers and has grown ever since. We now raise the calves until they are old enough to wean and those calves will be sold or kept as replacement heifers. We also have a small flock of chickens, their primary use is producing eggs. On top of all of our livestock, we have a small garden where we grow a wide range of fruits and vegetables. 

In 2024 we plan to grow sweetcorn, pumpkins and gourds! Follow along for more information coming soon!!
